Frank Gibbons, P.L.S., CFedS

Mr. Gibbons, a resident of La Plata County for nearly 40 years, attended Durango High School and studied engineering and surveying at Ft. Lewis College. With over 30 years of experience in surveying and materials testing, Mr. Gibbons is a Licensed Surveyor in Colorado, New Mexico and is a Certified Federal Surveyor. He is experienced in historical resurveys, large control networks, state plane coordinates, public land surveys, route surveys, Aerial Mapping, road and subdivision design. His specialties are historical resurveys, litigation, expert testimony and has lectured for the Southwest Colorado Bar Association. 

He has extensive experience in construction surveying with particular expertise in construction layout.  He gained this experience as the assistant County Engineer with La Plata County. 

Historic resurveys are a unique specialty. Because of his expertise in identifying evidence, boundary control and legal principles, he has testified as an expert in numerous Court cases. His long experience in the Four Corners area has given him a firm background in the problems and history unique to the area.

Gary W. Watkins, P.L.S. 

Mr. Watkins graduated from Fort Lewis College in 1972.  After gaining several years of experience in surveying and related fields he returned to Fort Lewis College in 1983 to study surveying. He joined Ernst Engineering in April of 1989. Since that time he has acquired his Professional license and is the supervisor of field operations. He is experienced with Total Stations, Robotics, electronic data collection, Autocad drafting, documentary research, legal principals and GPS.

Jeff Redfern, P.L.S

Mr. Redfern is lisenced in Colorado and Utah. He has a wide range of surveying background ranging from Project Manager, Survey Manager and land consultant. His experience comes from the private, public and Indian Reservation sectors that have varied from land development in residential and commercial to government-funded projects in the industrial and transportation market place. He is experienced in GPS, GPS control and networks, elecronic data collection, Autocad, Microstation, Inroads, documentary research and legal principals.

GIBBONS - NBQ, INC. FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT  

Gibbons - NBQ, Inc. is located at 2139 Main Avenue, Durango, Colorado.  We provide Professional Survey services in Colorado, New Mexico and Utah. 

Our firm maintains vehicles commensurate with the workload. Contact with the field crews is maintained through cellular phones.

Surveying equipment sufficient to outfit two (2) crews for all varieties of survey work including Robotic Total Stations and other Total Stations with electronic data collection. GPS is also available.

Office equipment consists of Personal Computers, Autocad, Plotters, Programmable Calculators, copy machines and drafting tools sufficient to produce "state of the art" finish drawings and reports.
